Korea 2014 (Day 1 of 6)

Tuesday, April 14, 2015

I have not travelled for quite a while and so I am really excited to embark on a ladies' trip to Seoul with my friends!

FYI, this is an overdue post on my Korea trip last November (and not on my recent April trip).

30 November 2014

Hong Kong International Airport

Departed from Singapore at 1.10am and reached Hong Kong at 5am plus for a 3h transit.

We had breakfast at McDonald's because everywhere else was either closed or crowded.

Time to board the plane to Korea!

Cathay Pacific

Up and above :)

 In-flight breakfast at 9.30am

Incheon International Airport

Reached Korea at 12.35pm and boarded the airport limousine bus (no. 6015) from Incheon Airport to Myeongdong. It's so convenient because the bus driver will help to load and unload the heavy luggage.

Hotel Skypark Myeongdong I (Myeongdong Station) - website

I would recommend this hotel anytime as it's location is awesome - 2mins walk from Myeongdong Station (Exit 6) and right in the middle of Myeongdong's shopping street. The rooms are basic but is whatever you would need.

Pierre Hermé (Apgujeong Station) - website

Stopped for some photos on the cold streets of Korea.

Such a pretty department store.

A pity there wasn't any seating area as it was located in the food section of Hyundai Department Store.

The macarons are so pretty.

We bought a box to share. I simply love the Rose & Rose Petal flavour!

Han Chu (Apgujeong Station)

Finally found our way to Han Chu for korean fried chicken.

The restaurant was soon packed with locals who were having Chimaek (chicken and beer).

Spicy fried chicken was super spicy.

This Han Chu tteokbokki was equally spicy!

We should have listened to the staff when she asked if we could take spiciness well cuz both were super spicy.

Kona Beans (Apgujeong Station)

So happy to visit my idol, Leeteuk's cafe!

A great variety but too bad we just finished our super full dinner.

You know Leeteuk is not there when the cafe is so empty.

But then again, he's everywhere.

 Wefie with Leeteuk!

Myeongdong

Headed back to Myeongdong with my travel companions! We stood in the middle of the busy street just to get a good wefie haha.

Got photo-bombed by the seller when I just wanted a photo of the egg bread. By the way, the egg bread was fantastic!
